Baby Shower ~ July 31, 2010

John and I had a baby shower/ going away party on July 31, 2010 at my parents' house prior to taking off for our road trip to the bay area. It was low-key (the way we like it) with BBQ and games for the kids and open to everyone we know in the area. It was a lot of fun and I am grateful for both sets of our parents and my sisters for helping throw us the shower. Not to mention our parents putting us up and feeding us for the month of July while we were in transition from Providence, RI to Sunnyvale, CA. Here are some pictures from the day below...

Aunt Elsie and Barney relaxing in the shade before the shower begins.

John's Mom, Jeanne, helping prepare for the party by mixing up some punch.

Table for onesies and paint for guests to make us a onesie for the baby to wear. Thanks for the idea Aunt Kat! It was a big hit at the shower.

My friend from high school, Christy, picking out materials to paint her onesie.

My little sister, Kelly, painting her onesie.

All the painted onesies hanging on a line hanging to dry.

Cake for the shower was so cute...and tasty!!

Before I cut the cake.

Kids playing badminton and enjoying themselves at the shower.

So cute! Thanks everyone!!

All tuckered out after a day of fun.

Lake George ~ 7/19-7/21/10

Here are a few photos from our trip to Lake George after Kelly and Terry's wedding. We spent a few days there with my family (Mom, Dad, Kelly, Terry, Emily, David, Uncle Rich, Aunt Kat, Kassey, & Dylan).

Emily, John, and me enjoying a boat ride on "The Morgan" a boat that departed from Sagaore hotel and went down Lake George.

After about a 15 minute downpour at Prospect Point and just when we wouldn't be able to go to the peak, the rain stopped and sun came out creating a beautiful rainbow over the lake. What a view!

Me and my sister Kelly enjoying a dip in the pool at our hotel.

So may islands in Lake George, but this one particularly appealed to me.
